I was out taking images today ,for a halloween home page,i did not want to go with

pumpkins and spiders .

So i was trying some new ideas with this lovely late 14th early 15th century bronze cauldron

and 16th century gothic iron pestle and mortari was trying to create a witches den in the country.

In total i took 113 images and i have selected four ,i have decided to go with colour  for

the home page as the green verdigri to the cauldron is great,but i have also tried the

black and white approach as you can see.

I like this colour image the best ,but please give me your  thoughts towards the black and white image.

Or there is the sepia brown....

Anyway i will change the home page to any of these four images ,you decide

I just love this 15th century german Minnekästchen it is of field maple with great little flower heads on the iron strapping.

Only 10" wide its a real cutie.....
