A truly wonderful English oak portrait panel

The carving is of the best quality real high end.

I have just sold this panel and deep down i would have loved to keep it . 

Recently purchased from the private collection of Marvin Sadik.

Marvin Sadik served as the director of the Washington portrait gallery

and Bowdoin college museum.

The back is great look at the riven marks ,it is so tactile a real find. 

I thought i would just check in and add this image of a wonderful jacobean bible box that has just come in.

The colour is tremendous...
