  1. stone skull 1

    stone skull 4

My take on a snow man.

Recently purchased this stone skull ,it is late 18th century and probably from a gentlemans folley ,the latin inscription to its forehead is DIESITU,which means length of days ,which is quite apt for a skull dont you think.

At first i thought this was a memento mori  ,but with its tongue sticking out and the playful look that it has ,i think it was comissioned by a late georgian gentleman with a sense of humour

  2. Sant Agosti christmas

Happy Christmas to all who have purchased ,browsed ,contacted and made me chuckle over the year.

Here is Saint Augustine the patron Saint of Brewers looking very cheerful in his christmas hat.

So in his honour i will sample a glass or two over this festive season and i hope you will all do the same.

    Enjoy ..
