A 17th Century Oak Wainscot Chair Dated 1696.

Westmorland region 

Of joined construction, the crest rail carved with the initials E.B and the date 1696 over a plain back panel.

A good chunky chair with an impressive colour and skin,the front section to the seat is a replacement and it has been braced under the seat to firm it up and the rest is all original.
