A 16th Century Iron Bound Gothic Casket.

This wonderful French walnut casket with big lockplate and iron straps is a rare survivour ,of small size with a working lock and great colour.

Recently purchased in Australia from the highly regarded dealer John Dunn a legend who opened his shop in 1958.

In good order there is an old infil running through the center of the lid where it had split a long time ago but still retaining all its ironwork .
