A Wonderful And Rare English Medieval Carved Oak Figure Of St Anthony.

This english carved oak figure of St Anthony circa 1460 is a true pre-reformation survivour and i am extremely excited and honoured to be handling it  .

With traces of original paint and polychome to the face and bell and a large burn mark to the front left hand side ,i said he was a survivour .

Of good height and overall good condition ,weathered to the top of his head and back,he must have been standing under a hole in the roof with rain dripping on his head for a century.

Good definition to the carving and he stands very well a figure with presence.
