16th century elizabethan carved oak

Table chest,with traces of red paint.

The carved front with scrolling lobes and tendrils,very similar to medieval ironwork on doors and chests.

Heavy traces of red paint allround

Later period iron hinges ,it would originaly have had pivot hinges.

In good condition with a good colour and surface.
