A Wonderful 15th Century English Oak Choir Stall End.
Circa 1490
This humorous Bearded Figure which has lost his nose, worn away or cut off one will never know,but what ever the story it has left a most delightful tactile fragment of medieval England.
Originaly the hand rest of a choir stall end,it has a dark patina only produced with dirt and oil of many hands caressing the head over the years
What more can i say apart from you just have to pick it up and move it around your hands.
